Exercise and Detoxification

Exercise is known to have numerous benefits. However, exercise and detoxification in the body is as subject that is usually overlooked.

When the body expends physical energy, the body experiences an increase in temperature, which eventually leads to sweating. The process of sweating cools down the body and releases toxins through the pores of the skin. Sweating removes the build up of heavy metals and chemicals that accumulate in the body over time.

There are a variety of ways to promote the process of sweating and engage in an enjoyable activity at the same time. Jumping on a mini-trampoline, which is known as a rebounder, is considered one of the most effective ways of exercise and detoxification.

Rebounding

The benefits associated with gravity are one of the unique reasons why rebounding is the preferred method of detoxifying the body. The gravitational force experienced while rebounding forces the body to adapt to the added stress and as a result the tissues and cells in the body become stronger.

Rebounding can have a positive effect on the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is essential for immune strength and circulation. The cells of the lymph are dependent on physical movement to work properly. The primary lymph vessels are located from the legs up to the torso, thus the up and down motion of rebounding is very efficient in stimulating the lymphatic system.

Hiking

Just get out and do it! Hiking is great for the body, reduces stress, and clears the mind. There is just nothing else like it.

If you happen to live anywhere near a mountain, there is a good chance there is a trail waiting to be hiked. It is one of those rare things that rewards you during, in the middle, and after you finish. Just getting away from life in a fast paced city can be reward enough. The outside, the clean open air, the silence…

we recommend a good detoxing hike at least once a month. After just doing it once, we are pretty sure you will be hooked. Just put it on your schedule and make it happen.

Yoga

Specific yoga stretches can have additional detox benefits beyond the cardiovascular effects associated with generic physical activity. The twisting motions involved in particular yoga stretches create a sponge-like effect with the body, releasing toxins as the stretches squeeze the body together. Yoga stretches help massage the internal organs, which can be beneficial for the digestion process.

This is a time tested form of exercise and detoxification. It may seem like the latest fad, but yoga has been around for thousands of years.

Note: To our runners out there. I am not completely against a good running program for detox. Just please take it easy and try to avoid injury.

Finding a physical activity that is enjoyable is the most important factor in detoxifying the body through exercise. The key to detoxification is consistency. If the body stays inactive for an extended period of time, the excess build up of toxins can become a health detriment. Consistent activity will prevent toxic build up and promote a sense of well being.
