I LOVE HONEY! Honey is one of my top then superfoods and has many, many great benefits. While doing our research, I ran into a few articles claiming honey can heal some allergies.
What I have found
There really is not a good body of testing done as of yet. Because Honey cannot be sold as a drug, and testing cost so much money, nobody can afford to do the research (or so it seems). I did find a couple of studies (one says it works and one says it does not), but I say TRY IT. If you are not fighting Candida or dealing with diabetes, honey is the best sweetener out there regardless.
What is the best honey for allergies?
First off, that so called honey in a plastic bear shaped container is probably not even honey at all (it is missing nearly everything that made it honey in the first place). If you have some of that, I say throw it in the garbage where it belongs (right next to the Aspartame and MSG).
While we promote all forms of RAW HONEY, we found that not just any honey should be used to treat allergies. It seems local honey is what may do the trick. So look up Raw Organic Local Honey on the internet for your area, or better yet, go to a farmers market.
Here are the reasons for getting Raw and Organic:
- Pesticides are not going to help your health
- It is made at low temperature keeping in the healthy stuff
- It is free from GMO (genetically modified organisms).
- Your body recognizes it as “natural” and better absorbs it
If you try some raw honey and see just how much better it makes you feel, you may want to look into other great bee products. Both bee pollen and royal jelly are amazing superfoods in their own right. Two more great weapons in your arsenal of perfect health.
