If you are feeling “less of a Man” than you used to, you are not alone. As I said in the previous article, Men Taking Estrogen, we are seeing an epidemic of estrogen dominance in men (and women) right now.

Here are some basic signs of low testosterone

  • Lack of libido / sex drive
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Feeling timid or loss of willpower
  • You sit on the couch too much (get off your ass and exercise)

Others symptoms may include:

  • Depression
  • Weight Gain
  • Increase of prostate size
  • Crying at odd times that you know you never would have before

Let’s face it, if you enjoy being a MAN, then you DO NOT want low testosterone (or high estrogen). After years of drinking soy milk, using plastic, and eating a vegetarian GMO laden diet, I could see the hormonal effects on myself. This was one of the main reasons I got into this field. I had lost my “take on the world” attitude, and could not figure out why. Find a man on this type of diet, and you will find a wimp.

Things to note:

Try Maca (not Matcha) first, it is great for hormone balance, and also one of the top ten superfoods. You will probably feel a huge difference day one.

It is a myth that testosterone causes prostate enlargement or prostate cancer – In fact the opposite is true. High estrogen levels are more directly correlated with enlarged prostate.

Taking testosterone alone will not always increase testosterone. I recommend taking or eating things to help keep the testosterone from flipping into estrogen. Believe it or not broccoli is one of the best.

Getting your estradiol checked may be more important and more accurate for determining your healthy hormone balance. High estradiol has been linked to many serious health problems and should be monitored by everyone.
